Born & bred in Wakefield, I moved to Durham in 1971/2 and have fished the Wear almost exclusively since (with the odd flirtation with the Yorkshire Swale
and the Scottish Tweed) firstly for its chub roach and dace, and in later years its barbel. I am currently Membership Sec of Durham City A.C. a National
Council member of NAFAC and Secretary of the River Wear Fisheries Improvement Ass. Last but far from least I am Secretary and long time member of that very
prestigious body, 'The Chub Study Group', a finer body of anglers you could not wish to meet.
